About MCCEA
Who is MCCEA?
In 2004 the Board of Directors of Memphis Consumer Credit Association, Inc. funded and established the Memphis Consumer Credit Education Association as a new, 501 (c) (3), not-for- profit association for the express purpose of conducting educational programs for the communities in the Memphis MSA.
MCCEA is approved as a HUD Agency.
Today, MCCEA is committed to consumer education and community outreach. Employees are dedicated to providing guidance, counseling and knowledge to individuals who are seeking assistance in purchasing their first home, achieving successful personal financial management, and understanding their own creditworthiness. MCCEA offers a number of educational opportunities to consumers and lenders in the Memphis Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Currently, MCCEA is a HUD, U.S. Department of Justice and THDA approved counseling agency that employs staff members who provide quality credit and homebuyer education and counseling on an individual and/or group basis.
MCCEA is endorsed by the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling.
